Molokini SnorkelThe Pride of Maui is a state of the art 70’ foot power catamaran. In the morning they take their guests on a five hour snorkel excursion to the world famous marine preserve, Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. The Pride of Maui’s is Maui’s largest maxi power catamaran. They have a water slide, heated fresh water showers, two restrooms, a glass bottom, lots of space to move about, swim platforms and a submerged slide. We love the service and friendliness of the crew on this boat. The Pride of Maui crew know how to show their guests a great time. While you enjoy their hearty continental breakfast on the ride to Molokini, the crew will equip you with top quality, sanitized, snorkel gear, floatation devices, optical masks, and instruction.

When you arrive at the crater you will not have to wait to get in the water as the Pride has 6 entry points. For your safety and convenience two crew members act as life guards and float on kayaks as you snorkel. If anyone has any questions or needs assistance a crew member is right there to help.

After snorkeling Molokini crater the crew fires up the BBQ on the short ride to Turtle Town. Turtle Town is a snorkeling site on the South coast of Maui in Makena. As the name implies you will swim with turtles. The coral and tropical fish are abundant, but the stars of the show are the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. These guys live for over 100 years and many weigh over 400 pounds. They have seen about a million snorkelers over the years so as long as you don’t splash and shout you can get within a few feet of them. We typically see about a dozen different turtles when we go to Turtle Town. On a few occasions we have seen over twenty turtles while we are there. We have never been on a snorkeling trip to turtle town and not seen plenty of turtles. Bring an underwater camera. A photo of your hubby/wife/kiddo with a turtle in the the frame will be one of the best photos of your trip. Most people we talk to consider swimming with the turtles to be a highlight of their entire trip and many have told us it has been a high light of their entire life. While you are at Turtle Town you are served a hot BBQ lunch including burgers, cheese burgers, veggie burgers, chicken breasts, assorted salads, and desert. After all that snorkeling you will be thirsty. Mai tais, beer, wine, sodas, water and juice are included.

In season (December 15th to April 15th) you will be treated to Humpback Whale watching for the cruise back to the harbor. Return time is approximately 1:00 pm leaving you with the entire afternoon for more adventures.
