Departs from Kihei Boat Ramp in Kihei, Maui

This 5 ½ hour adventure to Kanaio Coast & Molokini Preserve is Blue Water Rafting’ most popular and exciting trip offering a experience that very few Maui visitors ever see. Similar to the Napali Coast on Kauai, the only way to view this coastline is on boat. Blue Water Rafting became the first to chart and navigate Kanaio Coast and these unique snorkel spots.  The rugged and uninhabited Kanaio Coast offers a scene of chiseled lava rising above crystal blue water on Maui’s South side of the island. Get your cameras and snorkel gear ready because this happens to be a popular hangout for a friendly pod of spinner dolphins and green sea turtles!Cruise along Maui’s impressive seacoast south past Wailea and Makena to the rugged coast of Kanaio. You will have the opportunity to view some impressive sea caves created from a 200 year old lava flow along Maui’s south shore. This event created some unique lava arches, sea caves and grotto’s.Keep your sights on the water as the boat treads back towards the protected bay of La Perouse. Many encounter the aerobatics of the spinner dolphins who come into the Bay to sleep. there can be as many as 100 in a pod, including babies. The dolphins are very curious and may approach snorkelers. Those who have experienced this have described it to be a spiritual encounter.La Perrouse Pinnacle serves as a popular spot to hang out and serve continental breakfast. After breakfast the boat heads West to Molokini Crater, one of the most popular snorkel spots in the Hawaiian islands. Molokini Crater is an underwater marine reserve. Underwater visibility can be upwards of 200ft! Weather permitting there will be an opportunity to snorkel along the inside rim, the outer reef, and the back wall of the crater, each offering an amazing underwater view of the crater vent. Then onto Makena’s turtle town where a buffet lunch is served and yet another chance to swim with  the protected green sea turtle. This is a great opportunity to snap some great pictures with these beautiful turtles so you can really be the envy of all your friends and family.
This is one of Auntie’s favorite snorkel trips. Truly a trip of a lifetime.
